Dammon Engineering has been in business for over 25 years and is located in Slidell, LA. We are searching for a licensed civil engineer to join our company providing commercial and residential designs. Please review our website for some of the projects we have worked on.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Performing specific project building design and development tasks including design, reports, drawings, calculations, cost estimates, and specifications; responding to client questions and comments; reviewing contractor submittals; providing clarifications during construction; adherence to accepted industry and company standards; planning, scheduling, conducting, coordinating, and directing the development of architectural project requirements; willing to travel on a limited basis as required to meet training and project requirements.

Skills:

· AutoCAD
· Microsoft Outlook, and Office
· Excellent design and technical skill
· Project Management skills
· Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
· Ability to take a project from inception through completion without supervision
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Assist, respond and document requests for information from consultants, field personnel and subcontractors

Education:

· Accredited degree in Civil Engineering (B.S.)

Experience:

· Minimum 5 years experience in design and production of small to medium building projects. Must have strong technical writing, verbal, and graphic skills and be able to use AutoCAD.

Other Requirements:

· Licensed as an engineer in the state of Louisiana. Licensed in the states of Texas, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida a plus.
· Versed in IBC 2003, IBC 2006 and Standard Building Code as well as Federal and State laws and regulations that pertain to the industry
